Summer Fun
Hello Everybody. I am so excited and anxious to meet you all, and to get started with the best year of fifth- grade ever! I hope everybody had a wonderful, exciting, and hopefully at times relaxing, summer break. I took a long, almost 4,000 mile, road trip with my family. We drove through Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and of course Oregon. My daughter and I found rivers with rope swings, deer, herds of sheep and goats, lots of swimming pools, and millions of stars in the desert sky. I also added a new member to my family. His name is Oscar and he is a very well behaved puppy who enjoys sleeping his days and nights away. Please take a minute to post an introduction of yourself and share how you spent your summer. My name is Rose Saltveit. I am from San Francisco. I have been going to Chapman since Kindergarten and have grown up in NW Portland. I am interested in hip hop, soccer and track. I have a sister named Anna who is going into the 8th grade. I have a mom and a dad and a step-mom and a dog name Daisy.
ReplyDeleteThis summer I went on a trip around the Eastern U.S. We started in Washington, D.C. where my mom’s friend Liz, the Deputy Assistant to President Obama and Deputy Cabinet Secretary in the White House, gave us a tour of the West Wing of the White House and some rooms of the building where she works (the Eisenhower Executive Office Building.) Next, we went to New York City. We toured around and saw Ameya who is going to be in Mr. Bush’s class. Last, we went to Boston and stayed a night in Manchester nearby where we swam in the Atlantic Ocean, which was about 60 degrees.

ReplyDeleteI traveled to Grand Rapids, Michigan, this summer to visit my mom's family. We just got back at midnight on Thursday from visiting my dad's family in New York and Stone Harbor. Stone Harbor is a city on the Atlantic Ocean in New Jersey. We spent the past weekend camping on Mt. Hood. Looking forward to seeing all the people I know and new people!!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeletehave a mom a dad a sister named Isha and my cat Macky. I like art, music and soccer. This summer I biked on the Columbia river and passed omsi and ikea on the way too a hotel where we stayed the night in and biked back to our house the next morning.
We also stayed in a yurt at the beach for three nights. At the beach there was a sand dune and I climbed it and ran down it twice but the second time I got a mouthfull of sand on the way down. I made a villige out of sand. I can't wait until ice cream soicial so I can see who else got in your class.

My name is Jonah Sacks. I have an older sister named Hannah. She is going into seventh grade. I have a mom and a dad. We have three cats, one named Aish, one named Ron, and one named Harry. I have a dog named Sasha and a fish named Anemone.
ReplyDeleteI love to play sports. My favorites are: basketball, soccer, and baseball. My favorite teams are the Blazers, Manchester United, and the Red Sox.
I went to a sleepaway camp this summer in Ojai, California. It was second time going. It lasts for one month and is really fun. My favorite things to do there were: swimming in the pool (including the slide), play Ultimate Frisbee, and fencing. My sister was there too, but I didn't see her much.
When I got back from camp, we moved back into our house. We had been living in a condo for a year while my house was getting renovated. I like how my basement has been made into a TV room. My cats are down there and they love to sit my lap while I watch TV.
I am looking forward to fifth grade because I am with my friends and I want to meet new people.
Hi my name is Aidan Porter. I have an older brother named Eric. He is a sophomore in high school. I play some tennis and bowling and I ride my bike, and that's all the sports I mostly play. Over the summer I went up to my grand parents up in Bellingham Washington (that's up by the Canadian border), I also went to a summer camp for most of the summer. I also have two cats one named Mr.Kitty and the other one named Mac.
